Part I

Kane

Icarus

Bay not little Lamb.

On we must go

and on and on –

We must go on.

Two thousand yards,

walking distance –

And we’ve already come one thousand five.

Beyond us, marooned,

the lifeboat of the gods,

end of the primordial storm.

Behind us only the beginning

of our crawl – path – lava stone

the safety of the time before

we saw – witnessed –

Our misguided place,

unique human fallacy.

Bay not little Lamb.

Your garden gate is closed.

We are beyond the wall

and must go on.

All tomorrows lay unknown –

we must go on.
