What’s a wonderful plot set in a gorgeously built world full of the unexpected without a well-rounded character? Only half a story, lost and bumbling. A character worksheet or outline can help. I’ve done this a couple of times and found it so much fun to answer the questions with the voice of the character, changing the worksheet into an interview. The exercise, which was one that I would never have done before, really helped me to flesh out my protagonist and her sidekick, allowing for more dynamic characters to interact with each other and the worlds I’ve created.

Here, feel free to steal!
